West Virginia congressional candidate Ace Parsi and five faith leaders were arrested Tuesday during a sit-in at Senator Shelley Moore Capito’s Morgantown office protesting cuts to SNAP and Medicaid. West Virginia Congressional candidate Ace Parsi was arrested Tuesday afternoon along with five faith leaders during a sit-in at Senator Shelley Moore Capito’s Morgantown office. The group was calling on the senator to reverse federal cuts to SNAP and Medicaid, release a plan to support struggling West Virginians, and hold a public forum to answer constituent questions.

Six protesters, including congressional candidate Ace Parsi, were arrested Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 48 Donley St., which is home to the office of Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., according to a Morgantown Police Department (MPD) press release and a release from Parsi’s press office.
